F.T Marinetti the frontiersman of the Italian futurism movement
F.T Marinetti was born in Egypt in 1876. He lived a life between politics and art. French was a second language to him and he finished his education in an international college run by French Jesuits. This was taken from Marinetti (2006) . From a young age he was talented in the arts of poetry and music and published a newsletter "le papyrus" where he eventually gained fame .in 1894 Marinetti was sent to Paris to take his baccalaureate at the Sorbonne. He later moved to Italy where he pursued a career in law in order to please his father according to Marinetti (2006) pg1
In 1899 he gained a doctorate but never set up a law firm instead he pursued his interests in music and poetry taken from. Marinetti (2006) pg. 1. This is not what sparked his popularity in the design world he was famous for his efforts involving the Italian futurism movement his vigour and ideals moulded and influenced futurists and visual practioners of today Marinetti’s ideology embodies that a designers arsenal is not limited to the visual and should include cultural views of clients this is taken from (as design history mhup. 2008).From my understanding of the information F.T Marinetti was a frontiersman for futurists especially in Italy as he developed many concepts which developed graphic design of today.
